Joystick Controllers for Mobility Power Chairs

Monster Scooter Parts offers a variety of replacement joystick controllers for mobility power wheelchairs including power chairs by Pride, Jazzy, Jet, and Invacare. Choose from new joystick controllers, reconditioned joystick controllers, joystick rebuild services, and joystick parts.

Most OEM joystick controllers are manufactured by PG Drives Technology. Many newer models feature VSI joystick controllers made by PG Drives Technology.

We have added many joystick controllers to our "shop by make and model" pages to make it easy to identify which joystick controller you need for your power chair. 50cc GY6 Scooter Engines

We at Monster Scooter Parts continue to add to our replacement engine lineup with high quality 50cc GY6 scooter engines. These 50cc engines are complete with an automatic CVT transmission, and are compatible with virtually all Chinese made 50cc full size street legal scooters that come equipped with a rear drum brake. The GY6 style scooter engine, first introduced by Honda in the 1960s, has been widely used in the street legal scooter and atv industry. Honda no longer uses this style of engine in it's current lineup of scooters, but copies (clones) of the original Honda GY6 design are produced in China, Taiwan, and Korea. Virtually all full size scooters produced in China that currently dominate the market are equipped with the GY6 style scooter motor.

Major branded scooter makes that use the GY6 scooter motors include Baja Motorsports, SunL, Tank, Vento, and X-Treme. All of their current models can be found on our full size scooter parts page:

We are pleased to have received a fresh shipment of 150cc scooter engines (GY6/QMB139 style). These 150cc scooter motors are of very high quality, come equipped with an automatic CVT transmission, and are compatible with virtually all Chinese made 150cc full size street legal scooters. We were able to negotiate a very good price for the lot of these 150cc scooter motors, and have passed the savings on to our customers. Anyone unfamiliar with the classic Honda Aero (NH) and Elite (CH) Scooter line, here is a bit from http://www.wikipedia.org/:

AERO

"The Honda NH is series of scooters sold worldwide from 1984 to present in 50, 80, 90, 100 and 125cc versions. All models have an air cooled 2 stroke engine with CDI ignition. All models (with the exception of the Honda Lead 50) have leading link front suspension, electric and kick start, and a fuel gauge. The Honda Lead 50 has traditional telescopic fork front suspension and ONLY electric start. All models have drum breaks, speedo, CVT transmission."

ELITE

"In the early 1980s, Honda hit the market with a line of scooters known as the CH series, comprising the CH50, 80, 125, 150, and 250 models. In the U.S., these were known as "Elite" scooters but overseas they were marketed under the "Spacy" name. While they were useful as "scooters", generally their performance and comfort levels limited them to short trips. However, when the CH250 was introduced it could reach highway speeds and be used for long-range touring. This new use of scooters (that is, the CH250) was mainly confined to the United States. Even with the Elite 250 writing a new definition of the word scooter, it still suffered from the limitations of all scooters: limited storage capacity, short wheelbase, small size and not comfortable enough for extended riding periods.


Honda's response was the CN250 or Helix. Honda had lengthened the CH250 by 14 inches, placed an integrated trunk in the rear of the machine and lowered the seat. The added length allowed what many have referred to as a "Barcalounger" seating position and a smoother ride than that of previous models. The top speed of the machine was limited to 70-75, (however speeds of 77 have been obtained) MPH (about 113-121 km/h) but the drivetrain was of an understressed design allowing extended running at or near top speed."
